Major features in 8.0.1 Information Server (Overview of IS):

Better Metadata support. Available are the new Metadata server and the common connectors.
DataStage 8 gives access to the latest versions of databases that DataStage 7 may never get. Extra functions on all connectors includes improved reject handling, LOB support and easier stage configuration.
More reusable services and connectors to MVS and other OS.
New Functions: in-memory lookups, choose between ftp and sftp transfer.
Some of the functionality that has been taken out: Version Control tool, ClickPack, Released jobs, dssearch command line function, dsjob "-import"
